Resolving Installation Error 0-1018: Office 2013 Halts at 90%
If you encounter the error code 0-1018 during your Office 2013 installation, follow these steps to complete the setup successfully:
- Verify your internet connection: Ensure your internet connection is stable and robust. Poor or dropping connections often disrupt the installation.
- Temporarily turn off antivirus software: Antivirus programs can occasionally block the installation. Temporarily disable your antivirus and check if the issue is resolved.
- Delete temporary files: Removing temporary files can free up necessary space and fix conflicts hindering the installation. Open the Temp folder by typing %temp% in the Start menu search box and pressing Enter. Delete all the contents.
- Execute the Office repair tool: If the installation stalls at 90%, run the Office repair tool by navigating to Control Panel > Programs and Features, selecting Microsoft Office 2013, clicking Change, then Repair, and following the instructions.
