Guidelines for Setting Up Windows Server 2022

Once you've prepared a bootable USB drive, follow these steps to install Windows Server 2022:

1. Power on your server normally, insert the Windows Server USB, and then restart your server.
2. Your server will boot from the USB. When prompted with Press any key to boot from CD or DVD, press any key.

Note: If the installation doesn’t start, change the boot order in your BIOS settings to boot from the USB.
3. Restart your server and press the boot menu key (usually F2, F10, F11, F12, or Del) when the manufacturer's logo appears.

4. Change the boot order to prioritize USB.
5. In the setup program, select your language, time format, currency, and keyboard layout, then click Next.

6. Click Install now to begin the installation process.

7. Select the Server edition you wish to install and click Next.

8. Accept the license terms and click Next.

9. Choose Custom: Install Microsoft Server Operating System only (advanced).

10. Select the hard drive for Windows Server installation and click Next.
Note: Deleting all partitions is recommended for optimal operation. If your hard drive is new, simply click next.

11. Windows Server installation will commence and may take several minutes.

12. Create a memorable password and click Finish.

13. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and enter your password to access the Windows Server desktop.
