Configuring Windows Server 2022 in VirtualBox: A Step-by-Step Guide
To set up VirtualBox on your computer, follow these steps:
- Go to this link and select the Windows Hosts option from the list.
- The VirtualBox file will begin downloading to your PC.
- Run the VirtualBox installer. Click Next.
Note: If you encounter issues during installation, try deselecting the USB features in the installer.
Here's how to create a new virtual machine in VirtualBox:
- Click the New button in the Machine menu.
- Provide a name for the virtual machine, locate the Windows Server 2022 .iso file, and then click Next.
- Allocate at least 4 GB of RAM and click Next.
- Select the option to Create a Virtual Hard Disk Now (a minimum of 50 GB is recommended for optimal performance). Click Next.
- In the Summary window, click Finish.
- In the Tools tab, choose the Windows Server 2022 .iso file by clicking the button with three dots. From the dropdown, select Media.
