Upgrading Your Windows 8 Home Edition to Professional

Notice: Upgrading your Windows 8 from Home to Pro edition enhances feature access without data loss.
Reminder: While upgrades preserve documents and applications, we advise a backup to safeguard against unexpected disruptions.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Access System Properties by right-clicking on the This PC or Computer icon and selecting Properties.
  2. In the Windows Edition area, select Get more features with a new edition of Windows to access the upgrade wizard.
  3. Choose I already have a product key next.
  4. Insert the 25-character Windows 8 Pro product key and press the Next button.
  5. Concur with the licence terms and click Add features.
    6. Caution: Ensure all active tasks are saved before starting the Add Features process, as your computer will restart several times.
  6. Upon completion, you'll see the message Thanks, you´re all set and your PC is ready to go. Congratulations! Your system now runs Windows 8 Pro.
