Installing Windows 11 via VirtualBox – A Step-by-Step Guide
Note: Ensure you have at least 4 GB of RAM and 52 GB of free hard drive space to use VirtualBox with Windows 11.
To install VirtualBox on your PC, follow these steps:
- Visit this link and choose the Windows Hosts option.
- The VirtualBox installer will download to your PC.
- Open the VirtualBox installer and proceed with the installation. Click Next.
Note: If you encounter issues installing VirtualBox, try deselecting the USB features in the setup wizard.
To create a new virtual machine (VirtualBox):
- Click the New button in the Machine menu.
- Name your Virtual Machine, select the location of the Windows 11 .iso file, and click Next.
- Allocate at least 4 GB of RAM and click Next.
- Select Create a Virtual Hard Disk Now, then click Next.
- In the Summary window, click Finish.
- Select the Windows 11 .iso file and click the three-dot button next to Tools. From the dropdown menu, choose Media.
- Under the Optical Disks tab, click Add.
- Start the virtual machine by clicking Start.
- Windows 11 installation will commence.
Note: Tick the box labeled Skip Unattended Installations.
Note: Adjust the RAM value based on your preferences, ensuring it meets Windows 11 system requirements.
Note: Allocate at least 52 GB for optimal performance.
